Alternative Cancer Treatment – Expanding Your Cancer Treatment Options
We cannot deny the fact that cancer cases have grown through the years yet there remains a lack of medical breakthrough. Up to this time, medical research fails to find the ultimate cancer treatment to cure them all. And, once you are diagnosed with a stage four cancer, it seems you’ve reached the end of the line and you are left with no other option.
Cancer has become a treacherous disease. Your own cells are going against you, even breaking away from their original ”habitat” to metastasize and establish somewhere else within your body, to grow and reproduce uncontrollably.
At present, we are given only a narrow range of ”approved” treatments to decide on. The common modalities include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody therapy, and immunotherapy. The success rates depend on several factors and vary from person to person. They may render positive results to some patients while failed results to others. For example, complete surgical removal of cancer cells becomes pointless when the cancer has metastasized to other sites in the body prior to surgery.
This is just one negative aspect of conventional treatments, not to mention the risks of undesirable side-effects. Chemotherapy, for instance, does not only target cancer cells but also destroys healthy cells, potentially harming the remaining healthy tissues. Hence, it can destroy organs and cause further damage to a cancer patient. How can a modality be called a treatment when it also kills the normal healthy cells?
Because of the inefficiency of these conventional treatments to fight cancer, alternative cancer treatments play a pivotal role. There are many alternative cancer treatments that are effective and comparatively safer. To fight cancer, you should therefore consider a wide spectrum of available treatment modalities. The common treatments may have been approved but they render dangerous, painful side effects.
Many alternative cancer treatments, on the other hand, cause no or little pain, strengthen the immune system, and most importantly are specific to their targets. Although they do not have a place among the accepted conventional cancer treatments, various scientific proofs and testimonials from cancer survivors cannot be simply overlooked.
