Facts & Symptoms of Colon Cancer
Colon cancer is a silent killer as there are no symptoms usually. Each year more than 150,000 people are diagnosed with colon cancer in the US.
Only 10% – 20% of people that have colon cancer have a family member with the disease.
It is advisable that men and women should begin screening for colon cancer at age 50.
If the cancer is located in early stages most chances that it can be cured. There are some warning signs that may indicate colon cancer:
- Blood in your stools
- Narrower than normal stools
- Unexplained abdominal pain
- Unexplained change in bowel habits
- Unexplained anemia
- Unexplained weight loss
