Two years after Bonnie Borton’s second occurrence of lymphoma, a scan showed some very tiny lesions in her lungs. Borton opted not to have a needle biopsy, a calculated risk that left her not at all surprised when another scan several months later revealed one particularly suspicious tumor. “I knew at the time I was rolling the dice,” she said.
