We always knew nice sounds were good for us, and now we have more proof. Scientists say a promising new ultrasound treatment could fight prostate cancer while limiting or even eliminating side effects from more traditional therapies. The medical journal Lancet Oncology released a 41-patient study that suggests high-intensity focused ultrasound could reduce urinal incontinence and impotence–two typical side effects of prostate cancer treatment–by emitting sound waves that heat targeted cells, causing minimal damage to surrounding tissue. While the results are encouraging, researchers stressed the need for further testing. Owen Sharp, chief executive of the Prostate Cancer Charity, told the BBC, “This treatment was given to fewer than 50 men, without follow up over a sustained period of time.” Still, the results are encouraging, and further trials could make the focal therapy a regular part of prostate cancer treatment.

www.hifu.ca A relatively new prostate cancer treatment called HIFU – High Intensity Focused Ultrasound – is available for men with early stages of prostate cancer. This safe and effective treatment is non-surgical and non-invasive, with quicker recovery times and fewer side effects. HIFU research shows it is as effective as other forms of prostate cancer treatment. Call 1-877-370-4438 to find out if you qualify

Dr. Ernest Cohn, MD: "This book is by far the most complete and accurate review of alternative therapies I’ve seen in the 30+ years of my practice. I recommend our patients read this book now before we accept them for care here. It can save a patient’s life."
Dr.Pavel Yakovlev, MD: "The material in this book is enriching and hope-giving for clinical practice. I like the way you finish your book, with a notion of spiritual cancer, which is very important to remember when dealing with the patient."
Dr. Rashid Buttar: "I plan on recommending it to all my patients suffering from cancer who seek treatment at our clinic so that the light of truth and hope contained within this book can shine brightly on them as well."
